We're thrilled to open our doors this fall to share our programming with you. Access is operated by limited staff, and in order to keep everyone safe within our capacity, we ask that you respect our COVID-19 safety procedures when you visit the gallery. Drawing on recommendations from Worksafe BC, we are implementing the following procedures:

Access Gallery closed our doors to the public in March in order to support efforts to "flatten the curve" of COVID-19. In April we made the decision to postpone our spring exhibition to the fall. Turning inward during this time has allowed us to focus on the slow and thoughtful planning required of us in this uncertain time; to prioritize our mental and physical well-being; to model responsible community care; and to ensure the safest execution of our future programming.

Supporting efforts to "flatten the curve" of COVID-19, Access Gallery is now closed to the public until further notice. We will be cancelling all remaining events related to Mmm... and plan to host similar gatherings (Crit Nites, Drawing Nites, Brain Lunches) at another time. The Members Show & Sale is now finished.

Hand in hand with Mmm.., we're hosting a fundraising campaign! Check this out for fun swag and updates about our month. Every donation helps this small but mighty artist-run centre! Visit to browse, donate, and share this with your friends! https://charity.gofundme.com/o/en/campaign/mmm2020

Access Gallery is excited to announce that we will be hosting a Member’s Show & Sale, opening our space to showcase the variety of talents of our community.

Access will be closed 4 February 2020 due to weather. Check our social media accounts for any further updates about today, and news about tomorrow should conditions worsen.

Access Gallery will be closed for the holidays.

As the holiday season approaches, we’d like to wish everyone a warm and happy winter.

Access Gallery will be closed from 21 December 2019 to 6 January 2020, inclusive. For news and updates on our current and upcoming programming, visit our website or any of our social media links. Instagram | Twitter | Facebook

Our hearts are full! A huge thank you goes to the sponsors, members, volunteers, board members, staff, and 44 artist donors who made our most important fundraiser of the year More is More a memorable event celebrating artist-run culture! As a non-profit, we depend on the support of our community to continue as a platform for emerging + experimental art practices.

The Program Assistant will work closely with the Director/Curator to develop and executive a curatorial project with accompanying publication. In addition to this project, they will work closely with the Project Coordinator, the Board of Directors, visiting curators, and participating artists to coordinate the gallery’s exhibitions. This is an opportunity not only to learn about the inner workings of an artist-run centre, but to do so through the development of an autonomous project with support of an established organization.
